Lost-Wax Bronze Casting
Another traditional Ashanti craft is carried on by the lost-wax casting industry of Kurofofrom, 20 km south of Kumasi. Originally produced as gold weights, the castings are now mostly sold to tourists. The one shown is of an offering of eggs to the local gods.
